Today I got up very early as per usual to work. It's all because, I have to try dim sum at a restaurant that being recommended by colleague. Actually, I've been wanted to have early breakfast on weekend especially dim sum. It's hardly to find a good dim sum restaurant at SG with a fine price. I can't said it's truly nice but at least OK. >.<

Red Star Restaurant @ Chinatown

Views inside the restaurant. It's a traditional dim sum restaurant. Also, the aunties are waitresses. They still maintain pushing dim sum cart.

Appetizer - Preserved Cabbage

These 2 types of are common dim sum that must have at dim sum restaurant.

Fish balls & pork rib. Not recommend to try fish balls.

Cha Siew Puff

Ingredients in the puff.

Chee Cheong Fun (HK Style)

All time favourite - egg tarts

Chinese Tea - "Kuk Poh"

So far had these few types of dim sum. What do you expect from 2 persons having an early morning breakfast. I think, it's quite a lot. But no doubt, we can't finish all of it especially those shrimps dumpling. Coz, E doesn't like seafood.

After heavy meal of breakfast, we walk around nearby that area. After a walk, we feel better and fully digest.

*** Notes :
1) Cha siew is honey roasted pork. It's a Cantonese word.
2) Chee Cheong Fun is a one kind of white noodle that eat with some sauce. Different country has their own style of Chee Cheong Fun. Even in Malaysia has few types of it.

2D1N @ H.Li's place

1
I spent my last weekend with Munz & H.Li at H.Li's place at JB, a new house bought from her & her yet to be husband. Although is a new house, but surprisingly everything is complete. However, some of the kitchen utensils are unavailable due to her lack of time cooking at home. We cooked for dinner, dessert & brunch at the other day. Although is simple dishes, but we are quite happy. It makes me think back the time when we were at U, cooking time.

This is my first time to shop for vegetables at S'pore. The feeling, also back to U's time when we shop for grocerries at Carrefour, Wangsa Maju. I feel like an aunt when I go to take a look at a shop (sells lots of vegetables). The funny part is, I wanted to look for dried preserved carrot to cook with egg. A vegetable seller asked me what I want since I keep on round & round the shop. I felt shocked & said nothing & run away. It's all because my bad mandarin b'coz I don't know what is the preserved food called as in mandarin. I felt so embarassing. Luckily, I found it at a mini market nearby my house. Phew~~~

Our dinner. Looks simple but nice! :P

Longan Agar-agar. Dessert of the night. It's successful! Not too hard or too soft.

Healthy brunch at the next day. Munz cooked porridge. We just add some side dishes.

PS : Photos by H.Li. ^^

No doubt, social networking is quite useful especially able to get in touch with long lost friends and people that are unable to contact all the time.

I can get to see their latest news from them which, they'll post their comments or announcing some matters regarding about them. Besides that, latest pictures can let me see how is their life. In fact, I can get to know some of the interesting places if they post their vacation's pictures.

One more thing, I felt happy is that, I get to contact with my long lost friend which we knew each other since age of 4. For it, I really got to thanks to FB to enable me to search my friend. That's the useful of networking especially in internet.

OK... What does this whole set book about? Actually, Becky Bloomwood, a financial journalist is a person that likes to shop. Another word, her hobby is to shop. She ends up overdraft and owing a chunk of money to bank. She needs to think a way to get rid of the debt. Somehow, Luke, Becky's boyfriend is going to New York for extension a branch to there. Yet, she can't stand and shop again even though she promised Suze, her best friend that will buy things whatever she needs.

Soon after, she got married with Luke in Shopaholic Ties The Knot. Of course, it's not as smooth as it goes. She needs to deal whether to take Luke's mum, Elianor's offer or her mum's organised wedding party. Again, she is in dilemma.

In Shopaholic & Sister, Becky met her long lost elder sis. She is so happy for it until she realised that both of them doesn't share interest, shopping. Conflicts happened between Becky & her sis also with Luke.

Becky is pregnant in Shopaholic & Baby. Still, like to shop especially crazy with baby stuff. And needs to deal with moving bigger house for her own baby and better environment. Then, insisted wants the famous celebrity obstetrician is turns out to be Luke's ex-girlfriend, makes Becky's perfect world starts to crumble.

I can't resist not to read this Shopaholic Series. It's funny, hilarious and meaningful. A series that I will keep on chasing for it.
